Bookshops and record shops (showing our age here) have always been two of our favourite places. I can't remember a time when I wasn't reading books and listening to music and there will never be a time when I'll stop.

If you like this website, the chances are that you will like the selection.
What does that mean? It means that this bookshop is, essentially, a "front end" for Amazon's huge database. When you buy books/CDs/videos from here, you won't pay Amazon any more than you would if you ordered straight from their site.
But Amazon will pay us a commission - for referring you to them. We have no intention of re-inventing the wheel, Amazon's selection and service is the best on the web. What we do here is to narrow down a vast selection to subject matter in keeping with the issues addressed on this site, and in The Privateer
Why the music/videos/DVDs too? Simple. We like good music (mostly classical and jazz) and we like good movies (mostly older ones).
